Sungma tea estate that focuses on organic farming
The Sungma tea estate grows in the mist.
Sungma & Turzum's tea factory can be seen in the back of the tea plantation.
Founded in 1868, it is a tea plantation located in the Longbong Valley near the border with Nepal. The name of the tea garden, "Sungma," is derived from the Tibetan dialect, where a place where wild mushrooms grow abundantly was called "Sang maru." A large-scale earthquake in 1934 destroyed a tea factory. Currently, black tea is produced in a joint tea factory with the adjacent Talzam tea garden under the same capital. Since 2007, the tea plantation has switched to bio-organic farming methods and is producing tea that is safe, has a good aroma, and has a good taste.
A fragrance nurtured by the Himalayas, Darjeeling
Darjeeling tea is known as one of the world's three major black teas, and is called "the champagne of black tea" due to its delicate and strong aroma. Even if you don't like black tea, it's a famous production area. Darjeeling has three distinct quality seasons: spring, summer and autumn. Harvested from late March to April, the First Flush is the tea leaf picked during the first harvest season of the year, eagerly awaited by tea lovers around the world. The bright yellow light blue gives off a greenish scent reminiscent of the green of the grasslands filled with the breath of spring. It's a particularly popular season for people in France, Germany, and Japan.
