Mim Tea Estate
It is a tea estate founded in 1832 belonging to the Darjeeling East Area.
It has 187 hectares of tea plantation at an altitude of 1,500m, and has introduced bio-organic farming methods in some plots since 2010. It is known as a tea estate with a high reputation for first flush tea. Today, it is the only tea estate in Darjeeling that is operated by an Indian government-affiliated company, but it was originally founded by an Englishman and was named after Mrs. Mem (MEM), who was the wife of the former owner of the tea estate. It is said that it came to be called (MIM).
Located near Nepal, the tea estate is located in a naturally rich area overlooking Kanjenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world, and is home to many flora and fauna. The estate welcomes tourists who wish to experience the majestic natural beauty of the area and the experience of tea production.
