This is our fourth flavour of Earl Grey. Earl Grey is usually made by adding flavorings from tea leaves from China or Ceylon, which are made from bergamot, a citrus fruit made from orange and lemon, but this "Earl Grey Himalayan Bloom" uses high-quality Nepalese black tea with a refreshing taste and a lot of new buds as the base tea. The combination of the strong-toned, fragrant bergamot oil and the clear-tasting Nepalese tea is a must-try for those who like the taste of black teas from high-altitude areas such as Darjeeling and Nuwara Eliya.
We also blended in tea flowers to add a touch of color. The tea plant, whose scientific name is Camellia sinensis, is a member of the Theaceae family. Small white flowers the size of a thumbtip bloom in the tea fields in autumn. These tea flowers were carefully picked, dried so that they would not crumble, and added to the tea leaves.
The way the flowers slowly bloom in the hot water is adorable, so we recommend enjoying them in a glass teapot. Please give it a try.
