Yakushima Hachimanju Tea Garden
Yakushima is famous for having a diverse natural environment that is rare in the world, coexisting on one island.
The Hachimanju Tea Garden, located at the foot of Mt. Aiko on the east side of the island, has been producing tea without using any chemical fertilizers or pesticides since its opening. In 2001, the entire tea garden, including the tea factory, received organic JAS certification. The tea is produced by the family of the three founders in an environment that coexists with nature rather than mass-produced, and is sold directly and in a limited number of stores.
