Tea factory at Craighead Tea Estate

A tea field on a relatively gentle hill

Craighead Tea Plantation with 340 hectares of tea plantation divided into 5 areas. In 1931, the tea factory that had been on this land was destroyed by fire. In 1932, the current factory was rebuilt and operations resumed. Today, the factory building is still used for tea production.
The name of the tea plantation comes from the name of the town in England where the founder, Mr. DSCameron, was born.

Kandy, the birthplace of Ceylon tea

Located in the interior of Sri Lanka, Kandy is a tea-producing area and a historical tourist destination. This is where the first tea production took place in Sri Lanka. There is still a tea plantation built by the Englishman James Taylor, who is called the "god of tea" and started the production of black tea.
The black tea made in land classified as medium-grown at an altitude of 400 to 800 meters is soft with no strong individuality in both aroma and taste. Taking advantage of its vivid light blue color and low tannin that does not easily cream down, we also recommend iced teas and arranged teas.
There is no quality season, and tea with uniform taste can be harvested throughout the year.
