A special spring-picked Darjeeling with a scent reminiscent of pineapple and chamomile
This spring-picked tea comes from a tea garden, which in the local language means "a vast forest with plenty of firewood." Moe-yellow tea leaves with white core buds like lingering snow give off a fresh green scent. The lemon-colored tea liquid poured into the cup leaves a fruity scent of pineapple and wild green scent of butterbur sprouts, and a sweet aftertaste reminiscent of chamomile. It is a brand that feels the mystique nurtured by the spring Himalayas and craftsmanship.

Following last spring, the first flush has arrived from Simburi tea garden. The 2021 Simburi Tea Garden DJ-8 has been almost sold out, but the DJ-10 that arrived this year is a special lot named Snow White that is by no means inferior to it. Last year's DJ-8 was a brand made from the Chinese variety, while this year's DJ-10 is made from the clonal variety. Among them, it is a brand made only with a variety called AV2. The appearance of the tea leaves, which contain many core buds wrapped in white downy hair, is just like the lingering snow that covers the meadow in early spring. While last year's DJ-8 had a crisp and refreshing green tone, the scent of DJ-10 is herbal like AV2 with a refreshing nuance like citrus peel, and the taste is transparent. The sweetness of the tea leaves leaves a pleasant aftertaste. In the past few years, the owner company has changed, and Shinburi Tea Plantation has become a tea plantation that delivers even better brands. If you tried last year's brand, please enjoy the comparison with this year's taste.
Simburi Tea Plantation
Founded in 1924, this tea plantation is located at an altitude of 823m in the Mirik Valley area. Of the 473 hectares of tea plantation, 75 hectares are planted with clonal varieties, and in the last few years it has gained worldwide attention as a tea plantation that produces brands of wonderfully fragrant clonal varieties. It can be said that it is the result of earnest research and new attempts in all aspects of tea production. Since 2009, it has switched to bio-organic farming methods, and is a tea plantation that not only produces tea that is safe, has a good aroma and taste, but also operates based on fair trade.
A fragrance nurtured by the Himalayas, Darjeeling
Darjeeling tea is known as one of the world's three major black teas, and is called "the champagne of black tea" due to its delicate and strong aroma. Even if you don't like black tea, it's a famous production area. Darjeeling has three distinct quality seasons: spring, summer and autumn. Harvested in late March and early April, the First Flush is the tea leaves picked during the first harvest season of the year that tea fans around the world await. The bright yellow light blue gives off a greenish scent reminiscent of the green of the grasslands filled with the breath of spring. It's a particularly popular season for people in France, Germany, and Japan.
