Balasun Tea Estate
The tea fields are divided into 16 sections and are planted with 32% Chinese varieties, 60% Assam hybrids, and 8% clonal varieties. This is one of the precious tea fields that produces black tea with the traditional Darjeeling flavor made from China varieties.

Darjeeling has three quality seasons, each with its own unique character: spring, summer, and autumn. The second flush, picked from the end of May through June, is bathed in the summer sunshine and is full of rich, mellow flavor and aroma. Some high-quality brands boast a muscatel flavor (musk), a sweet aroma that lingers in the back of the throat and is unique to Darjeeling.
